Analysis

September ended with a feeling that buyers’ interests were changing.  The excitement and desire to find a home before the end of the year was not strong. Buyers were looking but being much more critical of what they wanted in a home and what they were willing to pay for these requirements.  I was surprised that this normal 4th quarter activity was hardly felt. Most retirees were planning for their winter getaways and families were back to school and sports! I also saw more homes come on the market from Duncan to Parksville/Qualicum. Sellers were planning for the fall and getting their homes on the market. Perhaps October will be more active once the holidays are over and the weather holds! Time will tell!
